An often sad and melancholy film that made me feel homesick for Edinburgh even though I watched it in the Edinburgh Cameo which was featured in the film, bizarre that’s never happened to me before and I don’t suppose it will again anytime soon.
My wife pointed out that as far as plot and story THE ILLUSIONIST is very similar to another favourite film of mine The Consequences of Love (Italian: Le conseguenze dell'amore)
